Free Pattern Friday: William the Whale 🐋

I’m so excited to finally share my own free pattern with you all, and I couldn’t think of a better one to start with than William the Whale.

William is a tiny, beginner-friendly crochet whale keychain that works up quickly and only uses a small amount of yarn. His simple shape and minimal sewing make him a great project if you’re new to amigurumi, but he’s also a fun and relaxing make for more experienced crocheters.

Because he’s small, William is perfect for attaching to keys, backpacks, pencil cases, or tote bags. He also makes a sweet little handmade gift, and is great for using up leftover yarn from other projects.

Designing and sharing my own pattern has been something I’ve wanted to do for a while, so this one is extra special to me. I hope you enjoy making your own little whale as much as I enjoyed creating him!

Now grab your hook and some yarn, and let’s crochet William the Whale. 🧶🐋

Happy crocheting!
