Happy Free Pattern Friday!
This week’s feature is this adorable Piglet plushie, made using a free pattern from Wonder Crochet. Just look at that squishy nose and those big ears—he turned out so cute, I can’t stop smiling at him!
I used plush chenille yarn for that super soft, bouncy texture. He’s got the classic Piglet color combo with light and dark pinks, and I added black safety eyes along with a bit of embroidery for the eyebrows to give him that sweet, gentle expression.
🧵 Pattern by: Wonder Crochet
🧸 Character: Piglet (inspired by Winnie the Pooh)
🧶 Yarn used: Chenille/plush yarn in light pink and fuchsia
🧷 Skill level: Beginner-friendly with basic amigurumi knowledge
🪡 Extras used: 10mm safety eyes, stuffing, and black embroidery thread
This pattern was so fun to work up and came together really quickly. Each part—head, body, limbs, ears, and nose—is crocheted separately and then sewn together. The instructions were very clear and included helpful photos.
🧶 Tips if you’re planning to make this:
- Chenille yarn is great for a soft plushie but can make stitches harder to see—use a stitch marker to keep track of your rounds.
- Pin your pieces in place before sewing to make sure everything is symmetrical.
- Take your time with the embroidery—it’s a small detail, but it makes a big difference in the expression!
- This would be such a sweet gift for a baby shower, a nursery, or anyone who loves Winnie the Pooh. The soft texture makes it extra cuddly and perfect for hugging.
