This week's Free Pattern Friday features a project that’s very close to my heart — this adorable crocheted snowman was one of the very first amigurumi patterns I ever tried, and one of the first dolls I made when I was learning to crochet.
🧵 Pattern: Crocheted Snowman from Hobbii
Designer: Tine Sommer Hansen
Brand: Hobbii Design
🧶 Skill Level: Beginner-friendly
📏 Size: can vary depending on the needle size and wool you decide to use, mine is approximately 18cm tall
🎨 Custom Touches: I gave mine a little personality with a teal scarf, sparkly buttons, and a black top hat with a contrasting band!
This pattern is a downloadable free pdf, which makes it easily accessible, especially if you want to make more than one🥰.
Amigurumi was a bit intimidating at first, but this pattern made it easy to fall in love with the process. It's simple, fun, and worked up quite quickly — perfect for beginners like I was at the time of making this snowman, or for anyone looking for a cheerful winter project.
This snowman is now a reminder of where I started, and making him felt like a turning point in my crochet journey. I hope he brings you just as much joy as he brings me!
💬 Have you made a snowman like this, or do you remember your first amigurumi? I'd love to hear about it! Tag me if you give this pattern a try — I always enjoy seeing what you create.
